Flowers By Kayleigh Coleman

I lay on the concrete slab in the courtyard, the sun beams on my skin,

My breath is one with the wind,

Cool and in abundance.

The sky looks so pretty from where I’m sat, clouds dance across my eye line,

Quick and static,

Forbidden candy floss miles from my reach. I wonder if we’re staring at the same sky,

Unknowingly connected,

I’d like that.

I feel so empty inside.

My body, a spacious vase sat on top of the fridge. I’m useless without him.

When was the last time he bought you flowers?
