Halloween By Ethan Lehrman

Writer's picture: Tin Can PoetryTin Can Poetry

They’re all shivering outside the chippy

And we observe them

There too

Sat on the stoop

And slutty Nelson Mandela is spewing on Spiderman’s trainers

I’ve run misty around town, been groped by a leprechaun, and seen my whole rolodex

You’ve still not seen enough and lament that the bars are closed

But for the moment shivering with a friend is just fine

And smiling at the sight of beautiful costumes made ugly with sweat and sick and rain
