Sea salt Whisper By McKenzie Reitmayer

Writer: Tin Can PoetryTin Can Poetry

Hoist the rope

Unfurl the sails

With compass and chart

Orders prevail

Do as you must –

Drop anchor with might,

Stand atop the seven seas,

Telescope through day and night

But heed the whispers of the boundless breeze:

Your banners at the mercy of the wind;

Your deck, a toy in the tide’s dance;

Your crew a fragile thread in sea’s tapestry;

Your quest for control another pebble to the bottom.
